This is the hub converter. Pair pages (HEIC to JPG, PNG to WebP) exist for people who already know the two types. Land here when you are not sure, or when you need PDF / ICO / SVG which those pairs do not always list.
Transparency: PNG, WebP, TIFF and SVG can keep it. JPEG, BMP and PDF flatten onto white. Animated GIF cannot be written; a GIF in becomes a still. HEIC in is fine; HEIC out is not, because browsers cannot encode it.

What “convert” does not do
It does not OCR a document, does not keep Photoshop layers, and does not upload to a cloud archive. A PDF from photos is a simple page stack built with pdf-lib in the tab.

Do you upload my photo?
No. Conversion runs on this device.
What happens to transparency?
PNG, WebP, TIFF and SVG keep transparency. JPG, BMP and PDF flatten onto white.
Can I convert HEIC from iPhone?
Yes as input. Browsers cannot write HEIC, so pick JPG or PNG as the output.
Why is GIF greyed out?
This tab cannot encode GIF animation. Convert GIF in as a still image, then save as PNG or JPG.
Does Image Converter upload the file?

What is the file size cap?
About 25 MB per file. Very large pixel counts are rejected so the tab stays responsive.
